This
has been my favourite plant this year - the colour has been amazing. I bought
it on hols down south a couple of years ago and thought I had lost it when it
died down. It came back the next year but didn't last very long - the leaves
curled and died very quickly. But this year I have been nipping out those old
leaves regularly and its still going strong...
The shapes made by the circles of york stone almost dictated what could be
planted where. Only tiny alpines fit in these wedge shaped gaps.
These red poppies are flowering their heads off at the moment...
